Apa perbedaan KB dan KiB?
KB (Kilobyte) = 1000 Byte (standar SI, desimal). KiB (Kibibyte) = 1024 Byte (standar IEC, biner). Produsen storage pakai desimal, OS pakai biner, menyebabkan "kehilangan" kapasitas.
Berapa GB dalam 1 TB?
Desimal: 1 TB = 1000 GB. Biner: 1 TiB = 1024 GiB. Untuk memori RAM, biasanya biner. Untuk storage (SSD/HDD), biasanya desimal.
Kenapa kapasitas HDD lebih kecil dari yang tertulis?
Produsen menggunakan 1 GB = 10⁹ Byte (desimal), tapi OS menghitung 1 GiB = 2³⁰ = 1.073.741.824 Byte. Selisihnya ~7% per GB, makin besar makin terasa.
